The building consists of 24 modern studios and will provide housing to a varied group of disabled people. They all have their own place in society. This inclusive residential project is the result of a collaboration between Zonnehoeve|Living+ and Livinvest cvba-so.

The focus is on individual living, with due attention to community life and group activities. As the building is divided into studios, each resident will live on their own and have a personal space that he/she can decorate to their own taste. Support is provided for various areas of life and the aim is to provide the best opportunities for self-development and quality of life.

Zonnehoeve|Living+ opted for a Smart Building, with every studio fitted with a touch screen which the residents can use to independently control the lighting, select atmospheres (such as a “switch everything off” function), operate the automatic blinds, as well as the videophone. The IPBuilding emergency call system was also rolled out. Residents and healthcare providers also have a badge that provides them with access to the assigned areas.

“We choose to be revolutionary. For this residential project, we therefore decided to look for a flexible and easy-to-use system. That is why we selected IPBuilding.”

By choosing a Smart Building, Zonnehoeve|Living+ decided on a future-oriented approach and studios whose technology adapts to the residents’ needs and requirements. For example, the function of a wireless button that is now linked to the emergency call system can easily be changed by the administrators of the building. They can then link it to a button that is mounted on the resident’s wheelchair to open the front door automatically. In short, the system provides maximum flexibility for people with disabilities whose needs sometimes change quickly.
